Connecticut Minimum Wage Increase for 2021

Connecticut Minimum Wage 2019

Heading into 2021,  the Connecticut state minimum wage will increase to $13.00/hour on August 1, 2021, an increase from the current rate of $12.00/hour. Under Public Act 19-4, the minimum wage in Connecticut will continue to increase until June 1, 2023. A breakdown is provided below: 
  • August 1, 2021: $13.00 minimum wage
  • July 1, 2022: $14.00 minimum wage
  • June 1, 2023: $15.00 minimum wage
The Connecticut minimum wage paid to bartenders will remain at $8.23/hour, while all other tipped employees will receive at least $6.38/hour.
